It’s always a challenge to be presented with a piece of much-loved furniture from a client. I need to make sure that they are not only happy with the outcome, but that the finished product will last them for a long time to come.
I was recently commissioned to work on this 3-piece Dansk suite.
As always, we start with a consultation process, where the client and I discussed their needs and reviewed samples. The clients had already decided that they did not want to have leather again and were looking for a more modern look. They decided to go with a new addition to our fabric catalogue, a Ross fabric called Aqua Clean which is very durable and ultra-modern. They also decided to tweak the design slightly by removing the button detail from the seat cushions.
From collection to delivery of the final product I had the furniture for seven days and I am quite pleased with the final product. I also feel that removing the button detail from the seat cushion works very nicely with the overall finish.
It always makes us happy to meet our customer’s needs and expectations and when a job is finished it is always great to hear feedback like this:
“We are so happy with our “new” suite it is some 30+ years old but now looks like new. Everyone has been very complimentary I have passed your details onto various friends and relatives. Good luck. Claire King”
